Wool is used in the creation of Cloth items at a textile mill, one unit of Wool per item. Creating cloth is a part of the Farming profession. The created cloth is used in Tailoring.
Note: if you add Wool to a campfire by drag/drop you'll get a white flame.

Wool is gathered from Domestic Shigras by shearing them. You need to have shears in your inventory, and double-click or right-click on the animals.
Wool can also be bought from a Component Shopkeeper for 5 silver per unit.
